I searched high and low for a good Ginger Salad Dressing recipe.  This is what I finally ended up with after some experimentation.


  • 1/2 cup finely minced onion
  • 1/2 cup peanut oil
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2T water
  • 2T or more minced/grated fresh ginger root
  • 2T minced/grated celery
  • 1 to 2T tomato paste
  • 2 to 4 tsp soy sauce
  • Honey or Sugar to taste
  • 2T lemon or lime
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1T miso

This is actually a very simple recipe to make.   Once you have all the ingredients prepped and mixed, put the dressing in the blender and blend until it’s at the desired consistency.  I like for it to be pretty well blended, but not to the point that it is completely smooth.
