This is a delicious version of an Indian Tikka Masala Sauce that can be used on any meat or tofu. We love to make this in large batches and keep it ready in the freezer.
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1T fresh crushed garlic
- 1t chopped jalapeno
- 1t ground coriander seed
- 1t ground cumin seed
- 1t paprika
- 1t garam masala
- 1/2t salt
- 2T toasted ground almond
- 1t chile powder
- 12oz crushed tomato
- 4oz cream or coconut or soy milk
- olive oil
Directions
- toast the spices in a pan until fragrant and hold to the side
- in another pan saute the onion in olive oil, after a few minutes add in the garlic, jalapeno, chile and tomato
- simmer for 20 minutes
- add the toasted spices
- add cream right before you are ready to serve
