This is a very easy Peanut Butter Cookie recipe from a family friend.

  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup Crisco  (Yes, we put Crisco in everything in the South!)
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cup flour
  • 2t baking powder
  • 1t salt
  • 1t vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peanut butter

  1. Combine the margarine, Crisco, sugar and eggs in a mixer.
  2. Slowly add the other ingredients until the completely blended
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator
  4. Place spoon sized portions of the cookie dough on a cookie sheet and use a fork to flatten the cookie.  You should end up with lined pattern from the fork.
  5. Cook at 375 degrees F until done.  If you like them soft, under cook them a little.
